Talk Story
Aloha! I'm Andrea, a Photographer...
Like developed film in a darkroom in the 90s OG-type photographer... And so is my style. I love "all natural" type of feel with natural light, composition, true creativity and presence in the moment creating and capturing authentic smiles and emotion.
Taking it back to the roots of where the journey grew from... Long before "digital walls" and even the turn of the century, I always had a collage of family/friends/sunset photos with looped Scotch tape holding it up on the wall in my space (Walmart double-prints! #IYKYK). In pursuit of a graphic design degree, I took a couple years of photography (and art, videography, web design, etc) college courses in the late 90's and early 2000's. After joining the Army in 2003, and in between training and my first duty station, I had a little over $1800 in Private pay saved up. I spent $1000 on my very own first digital camera, a Canon Powershot G5. Just came out and was the best I could get at an amazing 5 megapixels (phones today are far beyond that, of course...). That was all I wanted and am so glad I took a chance and got it. Not many folks had cameras handy in the early 2000's (especially not digital), now everyone does. Of course, nothing beats photos with a "real camera". I captured tons of memories and moments all over the world and have shared them with family, friends and colleagues providing a beautiful reflection back to those times and places in life. It's been a blessing, for sure. That is part of the art of photography. Capturing the essence of a moment and place in time.
And that is why a "picture is worth a thousand words".
After photography being a hobby for many years, I finally started a business in 2014 and have had that as a "passion-driven side hustle" for years. I don't know that I'd ever give it up. I love it too much. Let's create some great memories together!

Sept. 2003. PFC Migliore blowing kisses back home from her corner of the room with her "wall" of photos in a heart shape and trusty M16 to her side with a tic-mark countdown of the days on her locker... If it wasn't for that digital camera splurge to capture this moment, this and so many memories would have faded by now... or likely buried in a sleeve of double prints... :)
